After the quiet successful launch of Samsung Omnia W, the South Korean giant has unveiled there new Windows Phone i.e., Samsung i8350 Omnia M. Expected to be a tough challenger for the other smartphone in league, the phone has mid to high end specifications which will tend to attract customers in the future. The company says that they have made the phone keeping in mind the Social networking needs of the people and for the users who are more into gaming and Multitasking.

As I said, the phone is average on specifications and design, it sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixel, the screen is fit to better viewing and touch experience as it has reduced glare, which gives you a decent clarity in daylight too. The phone runs on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Operating system and is powered by 1 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 384 MB RAM. Omnia M is equipped with 5 MP rear facing AF camera with LED flash sporting a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and a VGA camera for video calling.

Samsung Omnia M comes with 4GB of onboard storage with a lot of cloud storage options, Window’s Skydrive provides 25GB of free cloud storage for access to your files, media content and sharing on move. If we talk on the connectivity front, the phone lacks LTE connectivity but has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, USB v2.0 and Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP. It operates in 2G network from GSM 850/1900 band and HSDPA 900/2100. It also comes bundled with Standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery which ought to give a good battery back-up. 

Omnia M is packed with Samsung Allshare Media streaming app which allows you to play movies, games and any other media content directly from your phone to a TV. Also, Photo Studio allows you to edit your images to be shared on the internet easily. Some of the common app that Windows Phone offers is People Hub which gives you quick access to SNS like, Facebook, Twitter and linked-in, also you can personalize your gaming experience on the Xbox LIVE app. The Chat ON messenger lets you concatenate all your social network on a common platform.

Sammy seems to be on a roll with the launch of Samsung Focus 2 earlier andnow with this one will certainly be a boom. There is no word on the price tag of this Gadget but it will be first rolled out in Europe than in the rest of the world. Speculations are being made that Omnia M will be priced around 11,000 INR.
