India’s booming Telecom company, Reliance Communications has unveiled country’s first CDMA tablet powered by 800 Mhz processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with 512MB of RAM. After the launch of Reliance 3G tab last year, Reliance launched its new tablet on Monday in Bangalore, Hyderabad,Chennai and Pune. The “Reliance CDMA tab” weighs 397 gms and sports a display of 7-inches with a resolution of 800 x 480p, an expandable storage upto 32GB via microSD support. Also, a 4GB memory card is made available with the Tab free of cost by the company.
Reliance CDMA Tab comes with a 2.0 rear facing camera and a VGA front facing camera, with the launch of this tablet Reliance has became the country’s first company to offer tablet in both 3G and CDMA connections. However, the company said that the Tab is supported by Reliance’s CDMA network across 22 circles in over 1000 towns in the country. According, to the company officials the Tab will prove to be a big boom as the no. of internet users has considerably increased with the growing invent of IT in the country, the Tab will mainly attract business persons and youth. The Tab also comes pre-loaded with some attractive features like push e-mail and “Document to Go” which support Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF formats.
