Nokia has added ‘touch facility‘ to its mid-range Asha series of phones with the launch of Asha 311, a beautiful looking handset packed with some mid-range specification. Recently, it has been a common seen that Nokia is more focussed on its Asha series and is continously upgrading this range of phones to compete against Samsung and Apple, who are the leading Mobile maker companies today.
I find Nokia Asha 311 as a very powerful and a beautifully designed handset and at a price of Rs. 6,360 it is surely a great pick. The phone sports a 3.0-inch Capacitive touchscreen display which boost a resolution of 320 X 400 pixels and has polarised glass which makes it easy to use it in bright light. It is powered by a 1 Ghz Single-core processor coupled with 128MB of RAM and comes with an internal storage of 256 MB which is expandable to 32GB.
Asha 311 runs on Symbian S 40 operating system which also runs on some of the major Nokia handsets, it packs a 3.2 MP camera with 4x digital zoom, Fixed-focus, self-timer and Video-recording. On the connectivity front, it is equipped with GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth v2.1, microUSB v2.0, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, 2G, GPS, 3.5mm Audio jack and FM Radio with RDS. It is empowered by a 1,110mAh standard Li-on battery which has a talktime of upto 6hrs.
Packed in a box costing you €92 you will get a 2GB microSD card free and will be pre-loaded with 40 free games from EA sports which include NFS(Need for speed) Run, FIFA 2012, Deluxe, Tetris and widely used Angry Birds. It also packs some commonly used application software include Nokia Maps, Nokia Life, and Nokia Browser 2.1.
Nokia Asha 311 will be on sale from the third quater of this year with a price tag of Rs. 6,360 (approx.) in India.
