Maruti has recently launched there new variant in MPV segment named Maruti Ertiga, which is a seven-seater car with some elegant looks and awesome style. The name Ertiga basically comes from Indonesia which means three rows and hence the vehicle has got three rows to make it more spacious.

Maruti has touched every segment of Utility vehicle from SUV’s to mini van cars, but somewhere it lacked in the MPV segment and has finally come up with Ertiga, which has a spectacular design at an affordable price. However, the company has placed Ertiga in there new segment of cars called LUV(Life Utility Vehicle).

Maruti Ertiga comes in two variant, the first one being Petrol version which gets its power from a 1373 cc K-series engine yielding a power of 93.8 bhp with a torque of 130 nm and has a mileage of 16.02 Kmpl on road. On the other hand, we have a Diesel variant which is powered by a 1248 cc 16V Multijet engine which gives up a power of 88.8 bhp, coupled with a torque of 200nm and comes with an fuel economy of 20.77 Kmpl.

On the interiors, Ertiga doesn’t dissappoints as it has three rows with a low boot space, the seats are flexible enough to make it spacious when required, among the three rows the last one being a little small is specially meant for childrens. On the frontline, the dashboard comes in a combination of black and beige colors which resembles features from Swift. There is an integrated music control panel on the steering and on the dash as well for stereo adjustments. The Exteriors are quiet similar to Ritz and Swift, they had tried to give it a spacious look with refined style and design on the car. There is a powerful Stereo system integrated in Ertiga which includes Nippon Kenwood MP3 player with access to funtions like FM, AM and Radio and comes packed with 4 plus 2 additional speakers.

Safety on road

The car is quiet safe on road as it has some quality safety features which won’t let the customers get into a grave postion in case of any accident. Maruti Ertiga is equipped with 2 Air bags, one for the driver and other for the side passenger. Anti Block Bracking system (ABS) is installed on the car to manage bracking system efficiently and accurately.

Price Tag and Availability

Maruti Ertiga is already launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 5.89 lacs for the Petrol variant ( Base model) and for the diesel variant you need to pay Rs. 7.30 lacs(Base model), ex-showroom prices. However, Maruti has specified the range for Ertiga from Rs 6.23-8.88 lakh. Maruti Ertiga has been unveiled in 7 colors as Dusky Brown, Granite Grey, Superior white, Blue, Ecru Beige, Fire Brick Red. Maruti Suzuki announced that the booking toll has already reached above 400 just after a day the car was launched in the country.
